BAFTA/LA presents a unique opportunity for directors, producers and filmmakers to discuss the issues of casting for film and television with one of the industry’s leading Casting Directors.
As part of the popular BAFTA/LA Salon Sessions, Casting Director April Webster (Lost, Criminal Minds, Fringe, Star Trek, 2012, Godzilla, The Patriot) will join us to discuss the relationship between the filmmaker and casting director, getting a project to top talent, the challenges of straddling the indie and studio worlds, as well as address topics raised by our attendees. The Salon will be moderated by BAFTA/LA Member John Alan Simon.
Our Salon Sessions are designed to be small gatherings to facilitate a focused and productive discussion. This particular Salon is aimed at casting issues from the filmmakers’ perspective, rather than the actors themselves.
